Is Etsy or Shopify cheaper?
Etsy charges per sale: a $0.20 listing fee, 6.5% on the order and 3% + $0.25 for payment processing. Shopify charges a monthly plan ($29 on Basic, billed yearly) plus about 2.9% + $0.30 per online order through Shopify Payments.
So Etsy is cheaper when you sell little and Shopify when you sell a lot. Fees aren’t the whole story, though: Etsy brings buyers to you, while a Shopify store needs its own traffic.
