Which reselling app takes the least?
On a typical sale Depop and TikTok Shop take the least: Depop charges only payment processing (3.3% + $0.45) and TikTok Shop a 6% referral fee on the item. Mercari and Whatnot sit around 10–11%, eBay about 15% once its fee on shipping and tax is counted, and Poshmark 20%.
Fees aren’t the whole picture. Each app has a different crowd — eBay the biggest and broadest, Poshmark and Depop fashion, Whatnot live auctions — and an item that sells faster or for more on one app can beat a lower fee on another.

On a $100 item the gap widens: Poshmark keeps $20.00 and eBay $15.83, against $10.60 on Mercari and $4.19 on Depop.
- Standard rates with no ads or boosts. Promoted listings, boosts and creator commissions add to the fees.
- Poshmark buyers pay for shipping, so shipping is left out of its numbers; on the others the buyer’s shipping is part of the sale and your label cost comes off it.

- At standard US rates, Depop (3.3% + $0.45 processing, no selling fee) and TikTok Shop (6% referral fee) take the least. On a $40 item with $6 shipping, Depop takes $2.07 and TikTok Shop $2.40, against $7.09 on eBay and $8.00 on Poshmark.
- Is it cheaper to sell on eBay or Poshmark?
- Usually eBay. Poshmark takes 20% of sales of $15 or more, while eBay takes about 13.6% of the total plus $0.40. Poshmark’s buyer pays shipping, though, so compare what you keep, not just the fee.
